The living myth.

Dreams made flesh.

But, oh, had any of them really thought about who the dreamers had been?

The Histories

House Durkhan held the Duchy of Kath in Amoroth for nearly as long as living history could remember it. It was rumored -mostly by the Durkhan's themselves- that they had been the original house to settle the area, and had been granted the duchy as reward for their efforts.

Anyanka's mother passed away well into her early years, and she has no recollection of the woman at all. Portraits of her and all references to her had been striked from the histories of Kath, most likely at the hand of her mourning father.

In an effort to assure Kath itself never felt the crushing weight of having grown reliant on someone else, he issued a blockade. All trade with other nations was ceased, and the Duke cut off all contact with neighboring powers to teach Kathians how to be self sufficient. His efforts failed, resulting in the fall of the duchy by the time of Anyanka's teenage years.

At sixteen, she issued a plea with her father to lift the embargo and allow Kath to return to it's Amorothian culture, but the man was lost to opioids and whores, and instead passed his daughter on to the highest bidder who claimed they could stop her protests for aide to the duchy. By the time of the uprising lead by House Deveraux, Anyanka was well integrated into the whorehouse she'd been subjected to, and had been presumed dead or a deserter by the Deveraux patriarch.

After the fall of Kath, Anyanka retreated to Feyshore to join King Ramsalot's court. News of the Amorothian nation's fall and her own families execution had yet to reach Marin, and she retained her status as a noble among the Feyshorian Court. Here, she met Heath Romanov, and their affair began. After his death two years before the Fall of Feyshore, Anyanka found herself pregnant and married Duke Venjamin Victor of Vincentien in an effort to conceal the pregnancy. Her son Mikhail, a blonde and silver eyed baby boy, took her husbands name. She remained married to Duke Victor for ten years, bearing him another son, Vintor. On Vintor's first birthday, both the child and her husband were assassinated in an attempt on the royal families life.

Anyanka ruled Vincentien for a year after as Dowager Duchess until a trip to the Southern Isles revealed Romanov to be alive. This news sparked the seeds of unrest, causing the loss of the Vincentien throne and nearly the loss of her son Mikhail at the discovery of his lineage. Mikhail took to the Southern Isles under King Bradai Maith's care while Anyanka moved her followers to South Feyshore to aide Randall Storm in the taking of Stormalong. Upon the successful taking of South Feyshore, she was given rule over the borderlands between the two Feyshores, and founded Astoria.

Not long after Astoria's conception, Storm abdicated his throne in Southern Feyshore, and the territory passed onto Durkhan's hands. She now stands as Queen of South Feyshore and Grand Duchess of Astoria.
