Angelica Doherty was born in the Witherlands. A child of a poor family, who found the Northern winters harder and harder to survive with each passing year. Her family found themselves indebted, and at the age of 13 her mother and herself were sold into slavery.
She found herself on a ship, headed to Amoroth, and was placed in a brothel on the border of Kath. Considering her age, she found herself kept in secret for high clients, or working with the Madame to keep the books. It was here that she met a 19 year old Anyanka Durkhan.
The war between the Durkhan and Deveraux family had Anyanka fleeing to Marin, and Angelica was shipped to Vincentien with another batch of women to serve the courts there.
Years later, Angelica found herself called to the Vincentien courts, only to discover the Durkhan woman as the new Duchess. Immediately they began their work on the Underground.
The Underground was the Duchess' pet project. Buried deep in the cliffsides of Vincentien, the Duchess build a city of tents for runaway and stolen slaves, as well as the newly freed men she had purchased and taken from the ships that came to port in the Crescent. Angelica found herself in charge of the operation, and the two built their following in the bowels of the nation.
When the uprising came to Vincentien, Angelica began the transport of the Underground to Marin while Anyanka helped Randall Storm with the taking of Stormalong. When the territory of Astoria was granted to the former Duchess, Angelica lead the Underground to their new home, and began the work on establishing a new Duchy.
For her work over the years, she curated a position as the Duchess' closest friend. The two have intertwined their lives so deeply together, she can't even imagine a world without the firey redhead in her life, just as the Duchess felt the same. It lead to Angelica's appointment to the position of Chancellor of Astoria.
While serving as Chancellor, she was introduced to Eric Stafford, former Squire to Randall Storm. The transfer of South Feyshore into the Astorian hold was mostly due to him, and he was quickly appointed Head Knight of Astoria.
With his new title, the two began working together in the Astorian and South Feyshore Courts, until he was appointed Lord of Stormalong during the formation of the South Feyshore Council.
A relationship bloomed, and they were married at the start of the First Year of the South Feyshore Council.
